107 kilometers every day for 107 days. This is the Chris Hall challenge. Riding this distance every day, no rain, no wind, no pain is stoping him. Chris has been cycling 107km each day since December 16th and now is on the verge of completing 11,449km endurance ride. Brave. Nobile.
Why is he, 27 old, graphic designer with a full time job, doing this? Simply: to raise awareness of a vital school called the Pace Centre, a school in Aylesbury, Bucks, dedicated to transforming the lives of 107 children up to the age of 18 with motor disorders such as cerebral palsy. Numbers count.
This is the reason way The Wonderful Socks decided to support Chris cause and give help designing a special sock for him. 107 Race for Pace is a TWS sock as well as are the others in our range, the only difference is that we will give 10 euros to the Pace Centre each pair of socks sold.
Caroline Bennett, Head of Fundraising at Pace, said «Pace are so honoured to have Chris Hall and The Wonderful Socks supporting our Pace children. Your generosity is greatly benefitting children with motor disorders, like cerebral palsy, enabling them to reach their full potential. For 10 euro we can provide children with fun Thera-putty to help strengthen and develop their fine motor skills, 30 euros can provide a specialist hydrotherapy session to help with gross motor skills and for 100 euros we can provide adapted toys, so that they can participate in, and enjoy play. As you can see, every donation received will give the children the tools they need to develop communications skills, access their education and gain their independence. The children couldn’t do it without you, thank you for championing Pace!»
Each of the 107 children at Pace face daily challenges and Chris decided to challenge with them for 107 days. Better struggle because no one can immagine the barriers every single day these children have to face, but they can cross them. This could happen thanks to Pace Centre staff, Chris, us and all of YOU.
If you are around and want to support him riding a distance:
Will be organized a group ride to celebrate his final week of his challenge. Join them on Tuesday, March 28th for laps with Chris around Regent’s Park, Central London. The group will meet at 6.55am at the Zoo entrance for 7am rollout and will lap counter clockwise until 8am. There’ll no doubt be time for a coffee afterward too.
